Core Services of Parent Child Centers in Vermont Home Visits: Home visits are available through several programs, from a one-time informational visit to regular in-home support Parent Education & Support - Parenting classes, informational newsletters, family fun events, playgroups and support groups Child Care Support Services - tuition assistance for childcare; referrals for childcare - helping families find and pay for childcare On-Site Education & Job Training including the operation of a Thrift Store open to the public and the Learning Together Program; professional development opportunities for childcare providers available on-site. Playgroups: Playgroups are free play groups facilitated by the parents who come together to meet other parents and to give their children a chance to play with others Early Care, Education and Early Intervention: 5 STAR quality child care and preschool programs offered in nurturing environments at PlayWorks and Learning Partners Child Centers. The Family, Infant and Toddler Program provides developmental services for families with children with medical conditions or developmental delays. This program is a home visiting program. Outreach, Information & Referral: Connecting families with community resources. Community Collaboration: Working with schools, parents, community members and other agencies to help develop services to meet the needs of families with young children. |
